Meeting Spud the Turtle on a walk in the woods

Once upon a time, I was alone walking the dogs in the woods behind my house. I heard something rustling internet leaves and it walking really really fast and of course it scared me. I put the dogs back in the house and went to investigate what I thought I saw as a giant turtle or tortoise (not sure which) but I named him Spud and glad I got him on video because I never saw him again. Tell me which he is if you know???
