Body camera video shows good Samaritan, deputies rescue man from burning semi

Body camera footage released Wednesday showed the moments two deputies and a good Samaritan rescued a man from a burning semi after a crash.

The Payne County Sheriff's Office said this happened last Monday, when a semi and a truck collided on Highway 108 and McElroy Road. Officials said the semi driver was unconscious.

Two deputies and a witness worked together to pull him from the vehicle. That's when they said the semi went up in flames.

The sheriff's office said the deputies and the bystander will be recognized at the next Payne County Board of Commissioners meeting for their heroic actions.
