This is a mercedes benz, in the 90's it had a huge engineering failure
and this is why.

see mercedes once tried to make biodegradable wiring.

it all started when germany passed a law requiring a certain percentage of new cars
to be bio degradable

so that when you junk it those parts will return to the earth.

but they decided instead of biodegradable seat covers or headliners

the part they would replace with a eco alternative is the rubber that covers all of
the electrical wires.

Overtime the wires got exposed to the elements and they degraded.

Causing a ton of short circuits and even worse.

mercedes never issued a recall even though a wireing harness with
no insulation is incredible dangerous
