A Woodchuck let me get closer than I've ever managed to get. Typically, they bolt as soon as they see you.

Woodchucks are also known as groundhogs, whistlepigs, and more. Aside from predicting the weather, they are marmots, can live up to 14 years, hibernate through the winter, and can climb trees.
