Since the 1999 repeal of key provisions of the 1930s Glass-Steagall Act, the mortgage financing firewall between Wall Street and Main Street has been removed allowing for a massive land grab not seen since before the Great Depression.

BlackRock led by Larry Fink is developing an enormous revenue stream by acquiring residential properties and turning them into rental units.
