Hundreds of rotesters gathered at Google’s San Francisco office to demand the tech company cut ties with the Israeli government.

Occupying a block of Market Street, attendees chanted, held up Palestinian flags, waved signs and listened to speeches from various Google employees.

Activists from the Palestinian Youth Movement and Jewish Voice for Peace also spoke, advocating for a permanent and immediate ceasefire and an end to Israel’s apartheid regime.

The main focus of the protest was to do with Google and Amazon’s Project Nimbus, a USD $1.2 billion contract with Israel, launched in 2021, that provides the country with local data centres and cloud computing services.
