Apex Legends Controller Player tries Mouse & Keyboard

I play Apex Legends on Controller and have never really tried Mouse and Keyboard. Seeing Tap Strafing from Movement Guides being absolutely insane, I want to try my hand at getting good with MnK for a new progression path. How horrible will my first games be?
