IDF animation shows construction of huge Hamas tunnel, HAMAS

A few weeks ago, the Israeli military discovered what was probably the Hamas terrorists' largest tunnel to date in the Gaza Strip. Animations from the IDF provide an insight into the structure of the system, whose exit is just 100 meters behind the border. Israel also has photographs of the construction.

According to the IDF, the tunnel was built by Muhammad Sinwar, the brother of Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahiya Sinwar (61). It is located just 400 meters from the Erez humanitarian border crossing and is the largest Hamas terror tunnel uncovered in Gaza to date.

The tunnel extends up to 50 meters deep into the earth, is over four kilometers long and in some places is so wide that a large vehicle can drive through.
