Reading the Bible in 1 Year - Leviticus Chapters 7 & 8

We are learning about forgiveness in Leviticus and atonement for sin under the old covenant in the Old Testament. This includes the regulations for offerings and sacrifices to God. But, as Christians, we believe in the new covenant under Jesus Christ and that he is the slaughtered offering for sin for everyone. The old covenant is brutal, but thousands of years ago people were living in brutal times. This year, we’re reading the Bible to learn about God’s love, patience, and forgiveness to help us live fulfilled lives. We are in Leviticus Chapters 7 and 8 of the Old Testament. This tells us about the Children of Israel and how they turned away from God and had to make sacrifices to pay for their sins to rebuild their relationship with God in the Promised Land. Join us as we read through the Bible this year and discuss what we get out of each of the chapters.
We are hoping to share more about God and how there’s always hope for forgiveness and fresh starts.
We hope you’ll join us on our journey through Leviticus and learn about the Children of Israel (Children of Jacob) and their history.
