Haunted Old St James Hospital

Let’s make one thing clear, we are not ghost hunters or paranormal investigators! But when we were asked by Chilling Paranormal to come along for an all night investigating of this magnificent (haunted) abandoned hospital, of course we jumped at the chance. So forgive us for not knowing the correct names of the equipment.
For us, it was a night a fun!
Little is known about the old St James Hospital in Butte, Montana, and we were unable to find any photographs of the interior from its conception. We do know that it was founded in 1881 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Kansas and several additions were added throughout the course of the next few decades.
From what we can gather, there were originally two wards. In 1890 the cost of staying in the ward was $10 per week ($300 in todays money). In addition, there were some private rooms - 2 beds were $12 per week and single, private rooms were $15 per week ($450 today).
A school of nursing was opened in1906 and a residential dormitory for students and nurses opened in 1917.
By 1941, there were 18 Sisters and St James was the first hospital in the state of Montana to be standardised and placed on the list of approved hospitals by the American College of Surgeons.
The new St James hospital was built in 1959, but some areas of the old hospital remained in use until 1968 when it closed.
During the 1980s the wards were refurbished into apartments but have long since been abandoned. The new owner is working to rebuild and refurbish the building. In the meantime, tours are offered and “ghost hunts” take place.
