Two Arrested In Iowa For Murder In The U.P.

Two people have been arrested in Iowa in connection to a homicide in the Upper Peninsula.

Margaret Anne Rose Kempainen, 50, and Jacob Alan Charles Kempainen, 20, both from Hartland, Wisconsin., were arrested Tuesday by the Clear Lake, Iowa Police Department.

Margaret and Jacob Kempainen are suspects in the murder of 87-year-old Alvin Kempainen, who was found dead in his home Tuesday morning during a wellness check.

There is also a a 16-year-old juvenile whose name is being withheld, that is a person of interest.

The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation is ongoing.
