If you look at figures that are put out by Hamas; that there is now 20,000 people killed in Gaza;

Is this still a case of self-defence for Israel?

Well, unfortunately it is and I’ll tell you why;

The Hamas leadership you do not have to go much further than them, have said again, and again, that October 7th it’s just a dress rehearsal, that we’re going to continue to do this.

So we’re not just talking about numbers on one side and another side and I’ll say something about that in a second;

It’s about a threat that continues which to Israel is an existential threat because these people don’t want to meet in the middle.

These people have in their charter that they want the complete destruction of the state of Israel.

How do you start a negotiation position with people who actually want to destroy you?

So that’s the first thing, the second thing is;

The numbers that you are talking about, the numbers that everybody uses ‘are the numbers that Hamas come out with’ ( Ferrari; I did say that.), and we know not really, that they can’t be relied on. I’m not saying thousands of dead, but they don’t talk about combatants in these numbers which is funny isn’t it?

Why is it necessary; it is reported; to start shooting, having snipers outside a church?

I saw the reports this morning, the church, there are no churches in Gaza, so I’m not quite sure where the report is talking about.

Ferrari;

There is a Catholic church there, isn’t there?

Unfortunately, there are no Christians in Gaza, they were driven out by Hamas.

Ferrari;

Respectfully, there are Christians because I spoke to an MP yesterday who has family members in the church who are Christians.

Well, I don’t know what happened, I don’t know who was attacked, I didn’t see the report.
