Intoxicated Man Kills Truck Driver

SAN ANTONIO - A man is arrested after crashing head-on into a cement truck causing a deadly accident on the city's Northeast Side.

The suspect Edwin Demar Tolliver,40, is charged with Intoxication Manslaughter.
The accident around 9 p.m. on Dec.21 off Walzem and Elm Trail Drive.
According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, they retrieved video from the cement truck and observed Tolliver was traveling southbound on Walzem and began to veer into the northbound lanes, striking the cement truck head-on. The cement truck flipped and shortly after came to a stop.
Deputies say first responders were able to extricate the 41-year-old driver of the cement truck and transported him to SAMMC where he was pronounced dead.
A sobriety test was conducted and deputies determined he was intoxicated.
Tolliver was arrested for intoxication manslaughter and his bond is currently set to $150,000.
