Americans Becoming Void of Culture

During my first week in Milwaukee, I spent a good amount of time asking locals about the history of Milwaukee. I ask locals about the culture, industry, political landscape, and special quirks of Milwaukee. The answer was a resounding cluelessness and indifference. After detecting this pattern enough times, I began to realize that Americans are becoming a people void of the culture. People here work, consume, and don't do much else. This two dimensional living strips the individual of all personality, character, and identity. A people without culture is a people without identity. What do ya'll think?
