The Erasure of Indigenous Tattoos in an Effort to Civilize the Savages: Pauline Alvarez

I shot this video back in 2019 at the Ancestral Ink symposium held in Santa Fe New Mexico. In it Pauline talks about the reclaiming of Indigenous woman's bodies and the intentional erasure of Indigenous tattoos in the effort to make our presence invisible.
