The Great Gidersleeve- Dec. 30, 1953 "Happy New Year"

The character, Throckmorton P. Gildersleeve, started on the situation comedy show, Fibber McGee & Molly in mid 30s. In Sept., 1941, a new show was born, The Great Gildersleeve. This was the very first spinoff in history of another program. The show was very successful, it stayed on the air in radio until 1958, out living a tv version. During its radio run, The Great Gildersleeve also had four movies and the character also appeared in two Fibber Mcgee And Molly films. Here is a New Years Eve show. Enjoy.
