IT ALL BEGAN WITH THE RATS
A minor import back then is destroying our civilization now.

For thousands of years we, the pet owners ands our pets have flourished. Only hundreds of years ago pet owners felt they needed more variety, 'pet diversity'. To improve their choices they imported the Black Norwegian Rat, a hardy breed and capable of entertaining just as well as a cat or dog but with significantly less upkeep. Yep, rats seemed to be the answer! Not!

●Rats were the answer to what?●

Entrepreneurial rat breeders, following the trends of previous animal husbandry, found that through selective breeding they could create more fertile, stronger, and larger animals. Their efforts were rewarded as the rats grew larger and stronger, but not any smarter. So as they grew stronger, hardier, and as with any animals so bred they became far less intelligent. This disturbing trend of 'amplified stupidity' was a deadly trap about to be tripped.

The already aggressive rats grew more aggressive. Coupled with already poor impulse control, this made for a 'perfect storm' of violence and death. The rats had become ticking time bombs. This danger was mostly self-inflicted among the rat population but soon spilled over to the general pet population as well.

Over time animal rights do-gooders noticed that rats were largely oppressed by pet owners at large. With no study or knowledge of fact as to why they were oppressed, they urged the government to instate laws to protect 'the oppressed rodents' of America. Despite pet owners' fear of increasing violence, government regulation wormed its way into situation.

As usual government jumped into the fray, ever eager to impose new rules, regulations, and laws designed to restrict or benefit certain 'special' sectors of the pet population. Ignoring facts and charging headlong into the fray government enacted legislation resulting in special privileges for the rats.

●Black Rat Supremacy was born●

Facing increasing government regulation coupled with the violent and explosive nature of the rats, many owners found it necessary to get rid of them. Many rats were simply dumped off in the wilderness, drowned, or poisoned. Extermination had becoming common practice.

The cost of feeding and housing rats-without-owners became increasingly demanding. For the remaining rat lovers, those intent on keeping their 'four-legged long-tailed friends', the weight of taxes to feed and house the runaway rat population was becoming an unbearable burden. Only the wealthy and disconnected Democrats continued to espouse the virtues of 'pet diversity'.

Government regulation had granted rats 'protected pet' status. The 'Equal Rights for Rats Act' made their extermination or abandonment federal crimes.

These things; taxpayer funded food and veterinary care, mandatory use of preferred pronouns such as 'Uber Mouse' and 'Dark Rodent' were implemented through social conditioning by media and government alike. Mere misuse of words such as 'Nigrat' or 'Cheese Chucker' or even 'Tail Dragger' became socially abhorrent, even ending careers and jailing people. Humans could no longer speak their mind for fear of legal consequence.

With a government-controlled press and media machine to help them, the powers-that-be had now granted rats, specifically, greater rights under the law and more opportunity under government pet-care programmes, than any other pets. These were the days ... these are the days, of 'Affirmative Rat Opportunity'.

Society fell under the weight of government endorsed 'Rat Supremacy' as rats upped their already epidemic violence. Aware that their kind was now federally protected and that they had become 'media darlings', a greater variety of crimes became available to them. Already too late for a simple solution, a final solution, pet owners and their pets hunkered down to endure an air of increasing pessimism and hopelessness.

Eventually statistics bore the horrible and fatal truths. Among these truths was that while male rats aged puberty to near-death amounting to about 7% of the overall pet population [dogs and cats included] had become responsible for over 83% of violent attacks and deaths in the overall pet population. Taxpaying pet owners and their pets alike found themselves on the horns of a dilemma.

Here you had a sector of the pet population that occupied less than 12% of the overall population that was receiving over 60% of government money doled out to keep them fed, healthy, and placated.

As with the Black Plague of hundreds of years ago, it is clear that this new 'Black Rat Plague' was equally dangerous and pervasive within the pet population at large. The difference between the rats and the rest of the pets was now all too obvious. The rats continued to grow larger [mostly on government money] and stronger and more violent. Rats found that whenever they went on a rampage and killed, maimed, or injured others it only spurred further government cash handouts.

Today Black Rats are in almost total control. Press and government influence have told us that the rat population is no different than the rest of the pet population. They've elevated 'Black Rat Supremacy' to an almost holy status, leaving behind the remaining 83% of the pet population.
