We can only imagine what he said after watching the video below where he made suggestions to former reporter Erin Burnett during a segment on Hardball.

"Can you get a little closer to the camera," Matthews told Burnett. "Come in further, come in close, really close."

A visibly confused Burnett, who has since transitioned to CNN, appeared uncomfortable with Matthews' directions.

"I don't even know," she stammered. "I'll have to look at the tape here."

"You look great," Matthews told her. "You're a knockout."
