As long as we live in this world, our carnal nature will constantly be at war with our spirit trying to live for God. In life, certain situations can get us distracted, discouraged, depleted, and even doubtful. But we have to remind ourselves of who God is and what He has done for us. Since He paid it all, He is worth all we have to give back to Him, and in return there is a great reward, and souls are set free. Our faith is like a fire; if you don’t feed it, it goes out. Drawing close to God, reading His word, and ministering to other people is what fuels the fire and keeps our faith aflame.
