This Sunday, Mike McClung ministered on "The Office of Pastor". Often misunderstood, the ascension gift/office of Pastor is essential to a healthy fellowship AND to the complete picture of Jesus Christ in His Body. Jesus Christ is the Great Shepherd, and though every elder is to shepherd, there are those that are particularly called to express that aspect of Christ to the Body. This is not the "catch-all, do-all, be-all" leader that the Western Church has made it to be. Rather, it is a part of the complete picture of the 5-fold ministry that should be present in every fellowship.
