Baby Pikmin (Animatic)

Played Pikmin 1, 2 and 4 a few months ago and oh my goodness. I am in love with these games! My brother used to have Pikmin 2 on our gamecube when I was a kid but I never got into it. (TOO STRESSFUL) But I took a chance and bought the Pikmin 1&2 bundle and absolutely loved them. If you haven't played the games, I highly recommend them.

I made this animatic a few months ago and meant to go back to it and fully animate and color it but just never did. For those confused on what's happening here's a quick explanation:

There's a sleeping PINK bulborb who has some berries it saved for later. (Pink bulborbs don't exist in Pikmin I just made it up) Meanwhile the Pikmin are carrying a baby rattle to the ship to collect as treasure. Louie comes in and steals the pink bulborb's berries which angers the bulborb so it starts chasing after Louie and rams into the pikmin carrying the rattle. The rattle then spins out of control and lands underneath the onion. This creates panic and chaos as the bulborb WANTS ITS BERRIES!!! Meanwhile, Olimar is collecting berries from afar using purple pikmin. Louie quickly runs past them which alerts Olimar that something is wrong... he then hears Pikmin scream and runs over to help them. Because of Olimar's suit, the bulborb mistakes him for Louie/the berry thief and gets even more angry. Meanwhile, the onion starts reacting to the rattle that's underneath it and eventually absorbs it while Olimar is fighting the bulborb. Then one of the purple pikmin that were collecting the berries, trips and drops one below where Olimar and the bulborb are. Turns out, the pink bulborb is actually a vegetarian so it's not interested in eating anyone just fruit and vegetables so it's like YUM BERRIESSS and sprints over to where the rest of the berries are which freak out the purple pikmin. That's when Olimar notices the strange Pikmin sprouts that came out of the onion, they pluck them up, and because the onion absorbed the rattle, the sprouts are revealed to be BABY PIKMIN. Ta daa!! Lol... then I was going to have the pink bulborb notice the baby pikmin and think they were so cute to the point where it starts acting like their mother. I didn't get that far lol. Anyways, I enjoyed drawing this storyboard thing and I hope you enjoyed watching it. I thought about adding sound effects but ehh... I think my time is better worth spent elsewhere lol.
