Not a surprise at all. Timing, coordination, destabilizing methods and crisis preparation is ALL YOUR US Government is now working towards daily. DC pols & Agencies (and even State Govs) don't care about We, the People. These folks care only about POWER.

They will use TRUMP as an instrument (as they did throughout 2017-20) to garner more control. If Trump is serious about things, he best start listening to people like Mr. Reagan et.al. that actually GAF about this country.
Final Note: if removed from office, Trump will be tried and convicted and dealt with like a common criminal. (If he doesn't know that by now, there is no hope with him.)
