Michigan Makes It Easy To Be Cheesy

Yesterday (Tuesday), the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development celebrated the state's growing artisan cheese industry, as Two Michigan cheesemakers, Leelanau Cheese Company and Idyll Farms, received high honors at the 2023 World Cheese Awards held in, Norway.

Hosted by the Guild of Fine Food, the World Cheese Awards is the world's largest cheese-only competition. The competition included over 4,200 cheeses from 40 countries, delivered by boat, truck, train, and plane to the contest location.
