Epic 80s Riffs Volume 5 - Power Metal

If you are a Pantera fan and you have not heard the Power Metal album, you are missing out. I can forgive missing Projects in the Jungle, but Power Metal is the first one with Phil and Dime is just displaying pure unadulterated aggression.

This riff is intense. Played once fast and then slow. This is very indicative of Dime's playing on the whole album, his solos are insane. From what I read Dime got a lot of his technique studying Michael Angelo Batio's "Star Licks" video, which is also worth checking out. This is a unique album, different from all the earlier and older ones, the boys are young and just getting started. I recommend it strongly if you haven't heard the album.
