Jeremiah 11-12 "What Will You Do?" 1/3/2024

Some time has passed between chapter 10 and 11…by most accounts…it’s been about thirteen years.
King Josiah had begun a reform movement in Judah.
The Book of the Law had been found…and they blew the dust off it and began to follow some of its instructions.
But their hearts weren’t in it…they were just going through the motions…outwardly they appeared to be following the law…
But inwardly their hearts were far from the law.
Many “Christians,” and I don’t like that title because being a Christian can refer to many different beliefs…so it has lost its true meaning.
The title Christian means a “follower of Christ.”
To be a follower of Jesus is to be obedient to His word…it means to obey His commandments.
So, many “Christians,” are just going through the motions…especially when it comes to going to church.
