299,792 km sec? Doesn’t Absolute make more sense?

The diameter of the Sun, divided by the speed of light (1,390.000 \299,792) = 4.6. That would mean the Sun takes 4.6 seconds to radiate light the distance of it’s own diameter. Not too slow?
