Too Far Behind - Everspace 2 Episode 5 - Lunch Stream and Chill

Previously, on Lunch Stream and Chill

Adam wrapped up some jobs in the Ceto system and headed to Union.
At Prescott Starbase, we started asking around to find Maddocks.
We meet a fixer named Daryl, who said he would help if helped him.
Adam obliged, only later finding out it was supposed to be a suicide mission.
By chance, Adam met a friend from a previous clone life, named Elek, and they were able to escape together.
Adam returned to Prescott to find Maddocks.
Maddocks ran, and with the help of Kato's men, escaped.
Elek, claiming to be a friend of Kato, brought Adam for a face to face meeting.
Daryl attempted to kill them again, before Kato intervened.
Adam agreed to enter Kato's employ if he arranged a meeting.
Kato asked Adam to take Elek off his hands.

What does Kato want us to do for him?
Will Maddocks finally agree to talk to us?
And do any of these questions matter, since we are severely underleveled and need to do some side missions or exploration to catch up?
