In 1965, Paul Harvey, an American radio commentator and syndicated columnist, broadcasted a piece titled "If I Were the Devil." The piece was popularized by Harvey, who periodically updated it to incorporate current trends. The oldest genuine version of the piece appeared in his newspaper column in 1964. Although it has been over a half-century since the broadcast, Harvey's words ring more true today than ever before.
