I was in a bad spot before the Erick Silva fight. I had just lost by brutal ko from Johnny Hendricks, and the UFC was poised to remove me from the promotion. I was matched up with a newcomer who was touted as the next GSP. They called him the king of Rio, and the fight was taking place in Rio. I pulled a Rocky 4 and had the Brazillian crowd cheering for me at the beginning of the last round. We won the fight of the night, and it was glorious.
