The Securities and Exchange Commission just gave the green light to 11 issuers that applied for bitcoin exchange-traded funds in the first wave of approvals on Wednesday sparking the beginning of a new era for Bitcoin and BTC holders.

Familiar names like Grayscale and BlackRock are volume leaders as these new bitcoin ETFs debut, but if you’re not in control of the private keys are they really your coins?
