American Stewards of Liberty is a national non profit organization founded in 1992 that works to restore property rights and the liberties they ensure. Margaret was raised on a large cattle ranch in Nevada where her family was targeted by the environmental community.

They filed the first federal lands grazing takings case in 1991 against the US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management.
