Paul Edward Bellar was just 14 years old when he convinced his older brother Tommy Jr. to take him down to the Milford Fire Department to enlist in the Cadet Explorer Program.

Paul excelled at the program and was taken on many serious and dangerous calls including suicide calls, which gave him PTSD at a very young age. But Paul had always had a love of military and law enforcement and he always wanted to help people. That is what made him happy more than anything else.

In 2015, Paul would enlist and join the US Army. His experience as a teenager handling first responder calls to suicides helped contribute to his continued drive to protect others.
