It’s terrifying to consider the precedent that may be set in Trump’s New York Fraud case. To catch you up, Trump apparently inflated the values of his collateral during loan applications. The loans got paid in full, Trump’s happy, banks are happy, done deal right? Nope.  New York is trying to set the precedent that if they feel a deal was done with fraudulent terms, even when no damages are alleged or proven, then they can take away operational control of a private business. Set aside your feelings on Trump and ask yourself if that’s a legal precedent you’re comfortable with.
