GODZILLA 1998 - Disparaged for not being a real Godzilla movie, it has a plot similar to, and Godzilla looks more like, The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms. In this one, Godzilla is birthed from Nuclear tests and gets even with the USA for it. Stomping New York & no attack on Japan.
It's still a fun film with good SFX. I enjoyed it regardless of box office disappointment & weak reviews.
