Book of Job: God can do anything He desires. He can bring us back to the dust in an instant. He does not need any positive act of omnipotence to do what He desires either. If He does happen to show His delight in us and withdraws the providence of life by which we live, that spirit and breath which previously emanated from His hand, and which is still in His hand, we shall be taken to Him immediately and comfortably. Mark 13:27 And then He will send out the angels, and will gather together His elect (those He has chosen for Himself) from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth to the farthest end of heaven.
