CROCKET: “I’d argue that my governor, who continues to promulgate heartless policies, knew this was going to happen as well. As far as I’m concerned, this was very intentional. It’s one of the reasons that Texas Democrats have urged DoJ to get involved on more than one occasion with the razor wire and the various kind of deathtraps that our governor set. We knew this, right? But for some reason, there is a belief that is somehow permeating through the Republican Party, that if you’re a migrant, your life doesn’t matter. And this is coming from the pro-life folk, where they’re not recognizing that this is illegal and it’s inhumane.”
