There has been an aggressive effort in America to remove all religious monuments and religious iconography from public property. The individuals and groups that bring complaints about these religious symbols in public spaces always cite the "separation of church and state" as the reason they should be removed. They key word being "church". They have forced the removal of Ten Commandments monuments from courthouses, Nativity scenes from school, and many other Judeo-Christian icons have been forced out of public spaces. However, there is one religion that has its icons and monuments in all of our public spaces, and on public property throughout the country, especially in Washington D.C. No one ever complains about this religion, or the fact that its icons are ubiquitous in our society. It's on our money, on municipal buildings, in courtrooms, in legislative chambers, everywhere.
