Last night CLOS’ woman in Perth, Robyn from Courage is the Cure, had one of her posts edited, online, without her permission or knowledge. It was only by chance she noticed, but is this the algorithms, doing the memory-holing work of Winston Smith? For if it is, I doubt AI will suffer from any moral-dilemmas or weariness, as it journeys, in moments, through your posting past and dulls anything sharp you might have posted, rebranding your mark on history, from a concerned citizen, to a beige smile.
