I have a knack for swooping in to save the day. I used to think it was being helpful, but the more internal work I do the more I realize it’s not always helpful or necessary. In fact, it can be insulting. When I try to save the day without being asked, I am robbing others of the opportunity to save their own days, or be the hero for someone. When I step back and allow others to shine, we all shine brighter.

Journal prompt: why do I feel the need to be the hero? Write about a time you saved the day and shouldn’t have.
