Fan plug BURSTS into flames while family sleeps

A fan plug burst into flames while a family relaxed at home.

CCTV footage shows the cord, concealed by the blanket, exploding sparks before it caught fire in Sakhon Nakhon, Thailand.

The blaze had spread onto the blanket being used by the nephew and his uncle who were dozed off on the floor until the youngster woke up.

He immediately stood up after waking up his uncle before the adult put out the fire by blowing on it.

No one was seriously hurt and the fire didn't spread to other parts of the property.
