Joey Harrington, who completed 24-of-38 passes for 238 yards, helped rally Detroit from a 10-9 deficit in the fourth quarter. Detroit took over with 2:27 remaining at its own 35 and embarked on the decisive drive. Harrington keyed the seven-play, 35-yard series with five straight completions for 31 yards before an incompletion, and Hanson came on for the game-winning kick. Scotty Anderson led the team with five catches for 77 yards.
