Wives Tales & Lies about M16 / AR15 Reliability (Setting the Record Straight) 🔫

The M16 has been maligned and defamed for decades, most of the charges against it are false. We talk about old wives tales and outright untruths told about America's rifle the M16 / AR15, especially as they pertain to combat reliability.

What's not talked about in this video is all the generals and other top military brass who had large investment contracts with Springfield Armory leading up to the Vietnam war. They were outraged to see Springfield Armory's weapons phased out and replaced with the M16, designed by outsider and newcomer: Eugene Stoner. They were extremely hostile to Stoner's M16 and did nasty things such as messing with the sights right before Military trials so the M16 would appear inaccurate. Stoner mentioned this deliberate act when discussing all the things the Military did to sabotage his M16 so it would not be adopted into service. It stands to note, these same military leaders were directly responsible for the M16 being issued to troops without cleaning kits, as well as switching the powder in the cartridges post military trials (that the M16 won) causing the rifles to gum-up and have reliability problems early into the Vietnam war. This lead to countless unnecessary deaths of soldiers and wrongfully soured the reputation of the M16 as unreliable.

Would powerful people within the US military, who lost gobs of money when the M16 replaced Springfield Armory rifles, go as far as doing things to assure soldiers got killed on the battlefield in an attempt to get the military to recall the M16 and bring back Springfield Armory's guns? You decide.
