Loki

Loki is a complex and multifaceted figure in Norse mythology, often described as a trickster god. Son of the giant Farbauti and the giantess Laufey, he is neither an Aesir nor a Vanir, yet he resides among the Aesir gods as both a friend and an adversary. While Loki is responsible for various mischiefs, including the temporary theft of Thor's hammer and the cutting of Sif's hair, his most infamous deed is engineering the death of the beloved god Balder. Despite his cunning and deceptive nature, Loki is also credited with aiding the gods in some situations, showcasing his ambivalent role in the mythological narratives.
