January 21, 2024, Romans 5:12-21 (Full)
Isaiah 14:12-15 , before the fall of Adam and Eve, this was were sin actually began
Genesis 3:4-7, how sin transferred itself into God's created order, which led to the fall of Adam, Eve, and all of creation
Romans 5:17-21, sin entered through Adam and redemption entered through Jesus Christ
Genesis 3:7, 21, the first hint of redemption from sin (the blood atonement, since someone had to die for the 'coats of skins'). The man-made fig leaves were not sufficient for God just as man-made works were not sufficient to redeem and reconcile man to God. The first and last sacrifice that was sufficient to fulfill God's law was Jesus Christ. The 'coats of skins' foreshadowed Christ.
1 Timothy 1:12-15, the once proud and arrogant Saul of Tarsus (who violently persecuted Christianity) was saved and converted by Jesus Christ, and became Paul the apostle
Romans 5:12, sin was and is a universal plague to all mankind, which man-made works cannot and will not cure
Romans 3:10, therefore not a single human is without sin
Romans 5:14, Adam was indeed the root of the sin seed that now resides in all people. Adam is a type of a man of sin (the man of sin who will come). The anti-type of Adam is Jesus Christ (and Christ will come again to take everything back from the man of sin). Note that Adam was given the commandment to not eat of the fruit of the forbidden tree before Eve was created (therefore Adam was supposed to protect and stop Eve, his wife, from sinning- and he did not protect her).
Romans 5:15, Galatians 3:10, Anyone without Jesus Christ is cursed. Mankind cannot naturally abide by God's commandments due to their natural sin nature inherited from Adam.
Galatians 3:10, 13, Deuteronomy 21:22-23, all of mankind's sin was transferred onto Jesus Christ, who was completely blameless and sinless (a sacrifice without blemish), and then Christ was hung on a tree. Jesus Christ took our curse, therefore became our curse, and then the curse was sentenced put to death on the cross.
Romans 5:16-19, only God's grace can cancel out sin. God's grace is now the gift given to all mankind, if a person will accept it. Which means that God's grace is not universal salvation, as anyone who does NOT accept God's grace- God's saving grace remains cursed. Jesus Christ fulfilled God's law and set the foundation for salvation. God's grace is now available, but people must come to accept it.
Romans 5:20, grace abounded above sin.
