This is an objective opinion of a man who saw what was happening on the front from the Ukrainian side with his own eyes.
The whole world was waiting for this counteroffensive, and it went wrong, because the people who prepared this plan were incompetent. They did nothing to make us win.
I was in trenches. The Russian defense was perfectly prepared. There was no way we could have broken through it, it was impossible. All our weapons were wiped out in the first month and a half. Then people saw how they were treated, how they were just thrown as cannon fodder. Assault groups were put together from artillerymen, snipers, aerial scouts. They were just thrown for the assault. It was just a demonstration to the world that, yeah, we were doing a counteroffensive, but we were not actually.
