The End of the Ukraine War in 2024?

Russia wishes to negotiate and avoid a conflict between two nuclear powers - Nato & Russia.
It wants to create a military buffer zone.

Both Russia and Nato have amassed troops outside the conflict region in preparation for entering Ukraine, and dividing it.
Nato will tolerate Ukraine negotiating with Russia, even if the US does not wish Ukraine to negotiate.
Russia could still accept a neutral Ukraine with access to the black sea.
But it looks as if diplomacy will not occur, and consequently Ukraine will be divided by military force.
