Ron DeSantis Recognizes Reality; Nikki Haley Not So Much

As many predicted would happen, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is no longer in the Presidential race.
On Sunday, he said:
I am, today, suspending my campaign.
It’s clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance. They watched his Presidency get stymied by relentless resistance, and they see Democrats using lawfare to this day to attack him.
While I’ve had disagreements with Donald Trump, such as on the Coronavirus pandemic and his elevation of Anthony Fauci, Trump is superior to the current incumbent, Joe Biden. That is clear.
I signed a pledge to support the Republican nominee, and I will honor that pledge.
He has my endorsement because we can’t go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear.

DeSantis endorsing Trump, and doing so respectfully, says he recognizes reality.
Sadly, Nikki Haley hasn’t reached that point. In fact, Haley actually calls herself a conservative. Either she doesn’t know what a Conservative is, or she’s trying to pull one over on voters.
Tuesday January 23rd is the New Hampshire primary. She’s slated to lose by at least 11 points, and polling indicates she’ll probably lose by more now that DeSantis has bowed out.
Even more embarrassing, Haley is behind Trump by 30 points in South Carolina, the state where she was the governor!
The longer she stays in the race, the more difficult it will be for all Republicans to get behind the person who’s clearly going to be the nominee.
Unfortunately, maybe that’s her goal.
