Peter appears to have been well known to Mark, and over the course of time, Mark became very close to Peter. By the time Peter wrote his first epistle (1st Peter), Mark had become like a son to him:1PET 5:13 She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you her greetings, and so does my son Mark. Spiritual son, it was Peter who probably led John Mark to believe in and follow Yeshua.
