PRINCETON, Ind. (WFIE) - A Gibson County man is charged with rape.

Jail records show 68-year-old Jeffrey Harvey was arrested Monday and released a few hours later.

Court records show he’s charged with rape when victim is mentally disabled or deficient.

Tuesday, we reached out to Princeton Police after we got a call about the rape of a dementia patient at a nursing home.
Chief McGraw confirmed there is an active investigation.

According to court documents, Harvey worked as a floor technician at RiverOaks Health Campus.

The documents also say Harvey admitted to doing wrong, but he claims the victim gave consent.

RiverOaks sent the following statement:

On January 22nd, staff identified, intervened, and reported an incident to authorities which occurred at the campus. An investigation is now in progress.
