The Movie, "One Love" has brought to the fore yet again whether or not Bob Marley derserves to become one of Jamaica's national heroes. I argue, during my presentation, that Bob does not deserve the status of national hero. Bob was an extraordinary and consummate entertainer and musician, but he should not be elevated to the status of national hero. jamaica's culture, over the years, has been prostituted on the world stage. It's time for our culture to take back the authenticity of our vibrant and world-class culture. Too much of what is being promoted as Jamaican culture is adulterated, and therefore, lacks any legitimacy and authenticity.

In addition, I incorporated in my conversation the history of the "rude boy" culture in Jamaica.
